about-robbieI founded Robbie Chesick Counselling to complement my work as a clinical counselor and clinical supervisor in public practice.

My professional time is divided between Robbie Chesick Counselling and SHARE Family and Community Services, where I counsel in both the Adult and Youth Substance Use and the Fee for Service programs. I work with adults, youth, and families who struggle with a wide range of issues. In this capacity, I also provide clinical supervision, group facilitation, trainings to frontline service workers, and structured training to graduate level interns in trauma and addictions.

Having benefited from the practice of meditation for 25 years, I came to the field of clinical counselling from my previous work as a yoga and meditation instructor. I wanted to grow my scope of ability to serve others, and to understand more fully how to help people on their own terms. Daily I experience the privilege of witnessing people recover their rightful sense of freedom and happiness. Because of this, I love the work I do.
