about-robbieI am a registered clinical counsellor, certified EMDR therapist, and level 2 sensorimotor psychotherapist. My background in the helping profession includes community work at SHARE Family and Community Services, where I counselled in both the Adult and Youth Substance Use and the Fee for Service programs with adults, youth, and families who struggle with a wide range of issues. In this capacity, I also provided clinical supervision, group facilitation, trainings to frontline service workers, and structured training to graduate level interns in trauma and addictions. I also enjoyed working with the Crisis and Trauma Institute (CTRI) providing professional development trainings to other helping professionals in Vancouver and throughout the province.

Having benefited from the practice of meditation for 25 years, I came to the field of clinical counselling from my previous work as a yoga and meditation instructor. I wanted to grow my scope of ability to serve others, and to understand more fully how to help people on their own terms. Daily I experience the privilege of witnessing people recover their rightful sense of freedom and happiness. Because of this, I love the work I do.
